MINUTES OF PLANNING COMMISSION

Pursuant to call of the Chairman, the Huntington
Beach Planning Commission met and was called to order
at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Hudson.
Members present: Overmyer, Davis, Kaufman, Jones, Hudson,
Furr, Overacker and,Consulting Eng. Parks.
Members absent: Bristol and Shaw.
Hearing - Chairman Hudson informed the members that this -was the
time set by call of the Chair and pursuant to notice regularly
published in the.Huntington Beach News for conducting a
hearing"on the application of Alfred Cusolito for conditional
exceptions, namely: permissiop to erect a residence on Lots
16 and 19, Block 910, Wesley Park Tract, the sidelines of
which are to be within three feet of adjoining property.
Application The secretary presented and read application No. 1
No. 1 for conditional exceptions in the above named case.
The Chairman asked if there was anyone.in the audience
who objected to granting the special permit. There were no
objections. The Secretary informed the Commission that no
objections either written or verbal, had been received in
his office.
Following motion by Overmyer: "That the Commission
recommend approval of Application No. 1 by Alfred Cusolito
for conditional exception." Motion seconded by Jones,
put and carried unanimously.
Application The Chairman stated that application No. 2 by Floyd
No. 2 Wheeler for conditional exception covering Lots 1, 2, 3 and
4, Block 1204, Vista Del Mar'Tract, Section 2, had been
filed with the Commission and was due for hearing at this
time.
The Secretary informed the Commission that notice had
been published in the Huntington Beach News according to
ordinance and that the applicant had filed his papers as
required by the ordinance.
The applicant asked for permission to resubdivide the
above named lots measuring 27 x 1222 feet each into three
lots 36 x 122:� feet.
The Chairman asked if any objections had been received,
and on being informed none had been received, the follow-
ing motion was made by Davis: "That the Commission re-
commend to the City Council that Application No. 2 by Floyd
Wheeler be denied for the following reasons. That the
Commission ha$~ s.tudiecl_: the ._ application and, can find no

good reason for allowing conditional exceptions; that, no
unusual circumstances and no undue hardships appear to
exist."- Motion seconded by Kaufman, put and carried
unanimously.
J.B. Thomas The Secretary read a letter from J. B. Thomas,
3708 Main Street, Riverside, California, asking if it will
be permissible to improve the front of a garage now
located on Lots 26 and 29, Block 507, so as to permit the
use of the -building for a grocery store and market. The
• Secretary was directed to ask Mr. Thomas to submit a
sketch of the improvements to be made.
On motion by Kaufman seconded by Overmyer, the
Commission adjourned. -
