The regular meeting of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission was called _to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Hudson. Members present: Shaw, Kaufman, Jones, Overacker, Hudson, Furr and Engineer Parks. • Members absent: Overmyer, Davis and Bristol. The secretary read a letter from H.Lee Norris complain- ing of the fact that merchandise was being displayed on the ,--sidewalks. The matter was referred back to•the City Council. Lawn mower The Clerk read a letter from Lee J. Cartwright asking repair permission to operate a lawn mower repair shop at 515 shop. California Avenue. The matter was referred to the City Council and the secretary directed to advertise a hearing on August 26, 1946. • Orange Co. The Clerk read a report from the Orange County Planning Commission.Commission to the effect that Clifford S. Johnson wanted to erect and operate a boat landing plant just outside the City limits and near the interseeti m of Highway 39 and Yorktown, and on motion by Overacker seconded by Shaw, the secretary was directed to write the Orange County Planning Commission and protest the granting of a permit for the reason that this location is one of the choice residential areas for subdivision of which we have a limited area and with the recommendation that the plant be placed north of Garfield in the vicinity of the railroad tracks. Resolutidn. This being the date for presenting for adoption a reso- lution to change the date of meeting of the Planning Commission Change on motion by Overacker seconded by Kaufman, the by-laws were date of amended so as to read "that the regular meeting of the meeting. Huntington Beach Planning Commission by changed to the third Tuesda of each and every month at 7:30 P.M. beginning September 179 1946.0 Motion put and carried unanimously.
