PLANNING COMMISSION Council Chamber, City Hall, Huntington Beach, California Wednesday, February 5, 1947 Pursuant to adjournment of January 21st., the Hunting- ton Beach Planning Commission met and was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Hudson. Members present: Kaufman, Bristol, Overacker, Hudson, Furr, . Davis and Overmyer. Members absent: Shaw and LeBard. Petition_ - The secretary presented and.read petition of Fred C. Hermann for conditional exception, namely:- permit to con - Mr -Hermann struct an apartment building on Lots 6 and S, Block 414, 17th Street Section, to within three feet of the boundary line between Lot S and Lot 10, and to extend the front of the building to within two feet of the sidewalk on 15th Street. M-2-0 On motion by Overacker seconded by Davis, Planning area Engineer Parks was authorized to make a study of all of the area in the M-2-0 district southeasterly from the area between 17th Street and l8th Street, bounded by Palm on the northwesterly side with a view of redistricting same under R-4-0 R-4-0, also llth street from Orange to Olive Avenue, both sides, to be designated as C-3, also the advisibility of extending the C-3 district along Ocean Avenue and Walnut C-3 Avenue from 5th Street to loth Street, and report to the Commission at its regular meeting of February 18th. Motion put and carried unanimously. Hearing This being the date set for hearing on the application of Fred C. Hermann above named, the Chairman asked if there was anyone in the audience who had any objections. There was no response. The matter was discussed among the members R-4-0 of the Commission and it was generally agreed that the R-4-0 area area should be extended to Magnolia Avenue from 13th to 17th extended Streets and to Ocean Avenue, aid in view of this recommenda- tion, the members/agreed that Mr. Hermann's request should be granted. Application On motion by Overacker seconded by Bristol, the above approved. named application of Fred•C. Hermann was approved and recommended to the City Council for approval. On motion by Kaufman seconded by Davis, the Commission adjourned. ATTEST: Secretary Chairman N
