HomeMy WebLinkAbout1947-03-18• HUNTINGTON BEACH PLANNING.COMMISSION MINUTES Council Chamber, City Hall Huntington Beach, California Tuesday, March 18, 1947 The regular meeting of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President Hudson. • Members present: LeBard, Kaufman, Davis, Overmyer, Tovatt; Overacker, Hudson, Furr and consulting Engineer Parks.: Members absent: -Bristol. V. Carter - The Clerk informed the members that Victoria Carter 607 Huntington Avenue, owns the north 9 feet of Lot 3 and Variance all of Lot 4 in Block 602, Vista Del Mar Tract, is asking for a variance to allow the reconstruction of a building on the rear of this property to be used as an apartment. No action was taken by the Commission pending an application for variance. Eng. Parks Engineer Parks presented master plan map, soil type map and highway plan. No action was taken and these matters were laid over for further consideration at next meeting of the Commission. Engineer Parks stated that the three matters to be taken under consideration and recommend to the City Council for adoption: 1. Land use. 2. Streets and Highways. 3. Polulation density. • Amend -Ord. The matter of amending Ordinance No. 495 for the 495 purpose of reclassifying the area between Ocean Avenue and Palm and 17th and loth Streets was discussed and laid over - until next meeting for further consideration. Map Engineer Parks submitted a map covering the above proposed amendment which met with the general approval of the members of the Commission. Meeting On motion by Overacker seconded by Overmyer, the date set. C ommission voted unanimously to meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Until further notice. The meetings on the first Tuesday of each month to be adjourned meetings. • On motion by Overmyer seconded by Kaufman, the Commission adjourned until 7:30 P.M.
