PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES Council Chamber, City Hall Huntington Beach, California Tuesday, April 1, 1947 The regular adjourned meeting of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President Hudson. Members present;. Hudson, Bristol, Overmyer, Kaufman, Davis, Tovatt. Members Overacker and Furr arrived at 9:45 P.M. Also present was Consulting Engineer Parks. Members absent: LeBard. Minutes Minutes for March 18th reading as follows: corrected. "Engineer Parks stated that the three matters to be taken under consideration and recommend to the City Council for adoption: 1. Land use. 2. Streets and Highways. 3. Population density," be corrected to read as.,follows: Engineer Parks stated that before any action may be taken under the redevelop - went act, the Commission shall prepare and present to the City Council the following plans: 1. Land use. 2. Streets and Highways. 3. Population density. Clean-up Following motion by Bristol: "That it is the.opinion bond. of the Commission that due to the possibility of increased drilling within the City and due to the fact that all acreage restrictions relative to leases have been eliminated, it is recommended that an ordinance requiring a clean-up bond be adopted as soon as possible. Motion seconded by Tovatt, put and carried unanimously. Hudson At this time, 8:20 P.M., Chairman Hudson asked to excused be excused from the meeting. I . On motion by Overmyer seconded by Davis, Commissioner Bristol was appointed chairman pro-tem. City Council On motion by Davis seconded by Tovatt, the secretary invited to was directed to invite members of the City Council to meeting attend the next meeting of the Planning Commission to be 4-15-47 held April 15, 1947 for the purpose of discussing pro- posed changes in district boundaries and other amendments prior to calling public hearing. Furr & Overacker At this time, 9:45 P.P., Furr and Overacker arrived. arrive. The secretary presented and read application of Application Victoria E. Carter, 607 Huntington Avenue for variance, for variancenamely: to erect and reconstruct an addition on the rear of the north nine feet of Lots 3 and 4, Block 602, !.Vista V.E. Carter Del Mar Tract. On motion by Overmyer seconded by Davis, the Planning Commission voted unanimously to accept the above application and recommend to the City Council that petition for conditional exception be approved and construction allowed provided same meets with the approval of the Building inspector. 1 1 1 • • • • 0 • On motion by Davis seconded by Kaufman, the Emer. Commission voted unanimously to make the following Ordinance recommendations to the City Council: That an emergency ordinance be adopted restricting the size of residence Size of buildings as follows: single family residence 400 buildings•. square feet duplex 360 square feet per unit, apartment buildings 2k0 square feet per unit.
