Tuesday, April 15, 1947 The regular meeting of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Hudson. Members present: Hudson, LeBard, Overmyer, Davis, Kaufman, Bristol, Overacker, Furr, Tovatt and Engineer Parks. Members absent: None. Visitors: Councilmen Langenbeck, Terry, Bartlett and John Henrickson. Engineer Parks presented and explained proposed re- zoning of certain areas now in M-2 to be classified as R-4 and R-3 respectively. So. Calif. The secretary informed the Commission that the Southern Edison Co. California Edison Company was desirous of extending its plant to cover Block 804, Wesley Park Tract, and that in order to permit yards and buildings, it will be necessary for a hearing to be had for the purpose of considering conditional exceptions. On motion by Bristol seconded by LeBard, Attorney Overacker was authorized to prepare notice of proposed conditional exception and the Commission was directed to call a hearing in the above named matter for 7:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 6, 1947, in accordance with Ordinance No. 4Q5 of the City of Huntington Beacht And, on motion by Da is seconded by Bristol, the secretary was directed to have printed and published and also post notice of hearing in the above matter, to be held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall at the hour of 7:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 6, 1947. Engineer Parks presented and read proposed amend- ments to the Districting Ordinance. Election of Chairman Hudson informed the Commission that this C h airman was the date set for the election of a new chairman -by the members of the Commission. On motion by Kaufman, Warren Bristol was nominated for chairman for the ensuing year. M r. BristolThere being no further nominations, on motion by Overacker, seconded by Overmyer, the secretary was authorized to cast unanimous vote for Warren Bristol for chairman. On motion by Overacker and seceded by Kaufman, the Commission extended a unanimous vote of thanks to Scotty Hudson for his valuable service as chairman of the Commission during the past year.
