Tuesday, February 17, 1948
The regular meeting of the Huntington Beach Planning
Commission was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman
Bristol.
Members present: LeBard, Hamann, Tovatt, Bannister, Overacker,
Bristol, Henricksen.
Members absent: Kaufman, Overmyer and Consulting Eng. Parks.
(Overmyer arrived at 7:45 P.M. and Parks at
7:56 P.m..)
Minutes On motion by LeBardseconded by Bannister, the minutes
for the month of January were approved as read.
The secretary read letter received from the City Clerk
Mr.Hamann of the City of Huntington Beach to the effect that'the City
Council had appointed Joe Hamann to serve on the Planning
Commission to fill the unexpired term caused by the resig-
nation of Chas. R. Furr.
Mr. Tilla- On motion by LeBard seconded by Tovatt, that the ap-
paugh plication for conditional exception for variance of Chas. 11.
Tillapaugh, 1005 Huntington Avenue, Huntington Beach, Calif-
ornia, was approved and recommended to the City Council for
approval.
At this time, 7:45 P.M-, City Engineer Harry A.
Overmyer arrived.
Consulting Engineer G. M. Parks arrived at 7:56 P.M.
Property of On motion by Overmyer seconded by Bannister, that the
Mrs.Miller members of the Planning Commission visit the property of Mrs.
Miller, 517 Tenth Street, Huntington Beach, and check over
the present structure thereon and review the proposed addi-
tional construction proposed and report their findings to
the Planning Commission for further study at the next regular
meeting, was approved.
Map - Adj- Consulting Engineer Parks presented a map of the City of
acent areas Huntington Beach showing adjacent areas being considered for
future city expansion. City Attorney Ray Overacker gave the
members of the Commission a brief outline of the territory
and presented the problems involved and the studies that
would be necessary.

Mr. Parks On motion by Overacker seconded by LeBard, that Planning
Engineer Parks be authorized to employ the necessary steno-
graphic aid needed for details to complete all the study of
the area as shown on the map presented by Engineer Parks and
discussed by Ray Overacker, was approved.
On motion by Tovatt seconded by LeBard, the meeting
adjourned.
