MINUTES
Council Chamber, City Hall,
Huntington Beach, California
Tuesday, February 24, 1949
Pursuant to adjournment of February 16, 194, the City
Council met and was called to order at 9:00 P.M.
Councilmen present: Greer, Hawes, Langenbeok, Bartlett.
Councilmen absent: Terry. (Councilman Terry Arrived at 8:03 P.M.)
Mayor Bartlett appointed Councilman Greer to act on the
Finance Committee.
Terry Arrives. At this time, 8:03 P.M., Councilman Terry arrived.
Resoo 1028 The Clerk read Resolution No. 1029 calling a General Municipal
Gen°la Mun.
Election. Election for Tuesday, April 13, 194t, and on motion by Langenbeok second-
ed by Greer, Resolution No. 1029 was passed and adopted by the follow-
ing vote:
AYES: Counoibment Greer, Terry, Hawes, Langenbeok, Bartlett.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen: None.
Charter The Clerk read proposed Charter Amendments 2 to 9 inclusive
Amendments
02 to 9, and on motion by Langenbeok seconded by Greer, that the Clerk be in-

strutted to have the proposed Charter Amendments published once in the
Huntington Beach News of the City of Huntington Beach, California,
was approved.
Light On motion by Hawes seconded by Greer, that the City Engineer
Standards
be authorized to rent the neeess ary equipment required to complete ai
the erection of the street light standards, was approved.
Demands On motion by Langenbeek seconded by Greer, the demands, as
approved by the Finance Committee, were ordered paid.
On motion by Langenbeck seconded by Terry, the meeting ad-
journed until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, -February 25th, 1949.
