HUNTINGTON BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION

Tuesday, June 22, 1949
The regular meeting of the Huntington Beach Planning
Commission was called to order by Temporary Chairman Ray H.
Overacker, at 9:00 P.M.
Members present: Hamann, Kaufman, Tovatt, Bannister, Overacker
and Consulting Engineer Parks.
Members absent: McNeil, Overmyer, Bristol, Henricksen.
At 8:01 P.M. the Chairman announced the opening of the

there being no objection either verbal or written, the Chairman

At 9:22 P.M. Chairman Overacker opened the second of two

public hearings relative to proposed amendments to Ord. # 95 as

published May 27, 1948 in the Huntington Beach News.
Resolution
Engineer Parks read Resolution #7, the proposed changes to

be known as Section 18.5 R-5-0 District covering multiple family

and hotel district combined with oil production. Engineer Parks
explained and outlined in detail on the map all the proposed
changes. There being no objections from the audience either
verbal or written the hearing was closed at 9:35 P-M-
A short recess was called by Chairman Overacker to draw up

further resolutions.
Resolution The meeting was reopened at 9:00 P.M. by Chairman Overacker.
#S Resolution #9 was read by Engineer Parks summarizing hearings
and recommending adoption of the proposed changes. On motion
by Hamann seconded by Tovatt Resolution #8 was passed by the
following vote:
AYES: Hamann, Kaufman, Tovatt, Bannister, Overacker.
NOES: None.
- - ABSENT: McNeil, Overmyer, Bristol, Henricksen.
Resolution Resolution #9 was read by Engineer Parks. This resolution
#9 summarized hearings and recommended adoption of changes in
Ordinance No, 495. On motion by Hamann seconded by Bannister
the resolution was adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Hamann, Kaufman, Tovatt, Bannister, Overacker.
NOES: None.
-�' ABSENT: McNeil, Overmyer, Bristol, Henricksen.
Map Engineer Parks submitted the map which he was authorized to
have made up which will show the territory for the proposed
annexation in consolidated form.
Meeting. On motion by Tovatt seconded by Hamann that by-laws be
*late to be amended that meeting date be changed from 3rd Tuesday to 3rd
changed. Thursday of each month, effective in July was carried by the
following vote:
AYES: Hamann, Kaufman, Tovatt, Bannister, Overacker.
WOES: None
ABSENT: McNeil, Overmyer, Bristol, Henricksen.

Heaters A discussion took place regarding the location of heaters
used in oil production, in relation to existing homes and
accessory buildings.
The motion to adjourn by Tovatt.seconded by Kaufman -was
unanimously passed.
