Pursuant to adjournment of September 7, 1949 the City Council
was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Greer.
COUNCILMEN present: LeBard, Terry, Seabridge, Langenbeck, Greer.
COUNCILMEN absent: None.
City Engineer Overmyer presented plans for the Community
Center Building. The plans for the Community Center Building had
been presented to the Youth Council which had approved the plans
with few changes. City Engineer Overmyer stated that the Youth
Council was of the opinion that the furnishings of part of the
building could be taken care of but that the City would have to
0
furnish equipment for kitchen and the chairs and equipment for
the Main Auditorium. It was the ppinion of the Council that the
grounds should be fenced for the protection of the children and
that the plans with suggested changes should be finished and the
City to proceed with alterations. On motion by Langenbeck second-
ed by 8eabridge the plans for the Community Center Building, with
suggested changes, were approved.
On motion by LeBard seconded by Langenbeekr Fire Chief J. K.
Sargent was authorized to attend the Fire Chief's Convention in
Sacramento, October 31, 1948 to November 3, 1949, and expense account
not to exceed $150.00, was approved.
The Clerk read lease, with certain changes made, between the
City and Robert A. Murphy covering the Pav-AA-Lon Danoe Hall, and
on motion by Langenbeck seconded by LeBard the Mayor and City Clerk
were authorized to execute the agreement, Councilman Terry voting no.
On motion by 8eabridge seconded by Langenbeck the City Attorney
was asked to wirte a letter to Pacific Eleott!to Railway Co. ahking
for modification of Section 24 of lease covering certain land.
A discussion of the proposed lease covering a strip of land
between the Municipal Trailer Park and the Pacific Railroad Tracks
was postponed pending return of City Clerk Henricksen from vacation.
City Attorney Overacker submitted proposed Charter Amendment
No. 2, covering method of selection of a Judge to act in the absence
of the elected City Judge, and the appointment of a Court Clerk with
certain duties.
The proposition to repeal Ordinance No. 396 was explained by the
City Attorney. Chief of Police Blossom spoke briefly on matter of
enforcement of ordinances.
On motion by 8eabridge seconded by Langenbeck the meeting was
adjourned until 12:00 noon Friday, September 10, 1949.

Pursuant to adjournment of September S. 1949 the City Council was called
to order at 12:00 noon by Mayor Greer.
Councilmen present: LeBard, Seabridge, Greer.
Councilmen absent: Terry, Langenbeok.
Reso. Resolution No. 1053 was read by the deputy City Clerk, Helen Axton.

On motion by LeBard seconded by Seabridge Resolution No. 1053 was passed and adopted
by the following roll call:
AYES: LeBard, Seabridge, Greer.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Terry, Langenbeck.
Ford On motion by Seabridge seconded by LeBard the City Clerk was instructed to

endorse the certificate of ownership on Ford pickup, was approved.
On motion by LeBard seconded by Seabridge that the City Clerk execute bill
*, of sale to Ben Sievert to purchase house located at City Yards, was approved.

and instructed to deliver a certified copy of Resolution No. 1053 to the County Clerk,
County of Orange, Santa Ana, was approved.
On motion by Seabridge seconded by LeBard the City Council adjourned until
7:30 P.M., Monday, September 13, 1949.
