Thursday, February 17, 1949
The regular meeting of the Huntington Beach
Planning Commission was called to order by the
Secretary at 7:30 P.M. o'clock.
Members present: Overacker,Kaufman,Hamann,Bannister,
Henricksen, and Consultant Parks
(Overmyer arrived at 8:00 P.M.)
Members absent: Tovatt,XxXxZ1,Bristol.
On motion by Kaufman seconded by Bannister that
Overacker be appointed Chairman Pro-tem in absence of
Chairman Bristol, was approved.
On Motion by Kaufman seconded by Bannister the
minutes for the month of January, 1949 were approved
as read.
Parks Consultant Parks reported to the Commission on
the Southern California Planning Congress Meeting held
February 10, 1949, on the subject "Problems in Planning
for Industry."
Talbert T. B. Talbert appeared before the Planning Commission
and discussed the proposed zoning of his property with
Consultant Parks and the Commission.
R-5-0 The Secretary read the provisions to establish
Section 18.5 to be known as R-5-0 District, Multiple
Family and Hotel District combined with oil production.
Reso. No.11 The Secretary read Resolution No. 11, a resolution
of the City.of Huntington Beach Planning Commission to
amend the districting ordinance to provide for a new
district to be known as R-5-0 District, Multiple ilamily
and Hotel District combined with oil production, and
calling for public hearings in the matter to be held on
Thursday, March 17th, 1949, and on Thursday, March 31st,
1949, at the hour of 8.,00 P.M. in the Council Chamber of
the City Hall, and that notice of said hearings in the
matter of said proposal be advertised in accordance with
the provisions of the Districting Ordinance and on motion
by Kaufman seconded by Hamann Resolution No. 11 was
passed and adopted by the following roll call:
AYES: Kaufman,Hamann,Overmyer,Bannister,Overacker,Henridksen
NOES: None
ABSENT: Tovatt'MxX�,Bristol.
Reso.No. 12 Consultant Parks read Resolution No. 12, a resolution
of the City of Huntington Beach Planning Commission in-
itiating proceedings to amend Ordinance No. 495, by makiAg-
changes in the Use District Boundaries and classification
of the land described on sheets attached to Resolution No.
12 and titled property description relating to City Planning
Commission Resolution No. 12, and calling for public hearings
in the matter on Thursday, "Larch 17th, 1949 and Thursday, Yn
March 31st, 1949 at 8:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber
of the City Hall.
On motion by Hamann seconded by Bannister Resolution
No. 12 was passed and adopted by the following roll call:
AYES: KaufmEn,Hamann,Overmyer,Bannister,Overacker,
Henricksen.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Tovatt,Bristol.

Proposed' Consultant Parks read the proposed amendments to
amendments Section 2 of Ordinance No. 495 covering the addition of
Ord. 495 definitions which shall be inserted between the definitions
of apartment and building, automobile court.:or motel.
On motion by Hamann seconded by Overmyer the meeting
adjourned.
