HUNTINGTON BEACH PLANNING COVDISSION

Thursday, December 15, 1949
The Secretary opened, the regular meeting of the
Huntington Beach planning Commission at 7:30 o'clock PM.
On motion by Hinshaw seconded by Hamann that
Commissioner Kaufman be appointed Chairman pro-tem, was
approved.

The newly appointed Commissioners Wm. E. Kettler
and Jack Pyles were introduced to the members of the
Planning Commission.
Members present: Hamann, Kaufman, Hinshaw, Overmyer, Overecker
Kettler, Pyles, Henricksen and
Consultant Parks
Members absent: Tovatt
Chairman pro-tem Kaufman announced that a motion
was in order for the appointment of a permanent Chairman.

On motion by Hamann seconded by Hinshaw that Commis-
sioner Kaufman be appointed permanent Chairman. On motion
by Overacker seconded by Hamann that nominations be
closed and the secretary instructed to cast a unanimous
vote for Commissioner Kaufman as permanent Chairman,
was approved.
Commissioner Parks presented to the Planning
Commission for review a proposed map showing general
streets and highways plan and a general plan of trans-
portation terminal and public utilities and facilities
and reviewed the map with the commissioners in detail.

The Secretary* read Resolution No. 17, a reso-
lution of the Planning Commission of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, proposing a general
streets and highways plan and a general plan of trans-
portation terminal and public utilities and facilities,
and on motion by Hinshaw seconded by Hamann Resolution
#17, proposing a general streets and Highways plan
and a general plan of transportation terminal and
public utilities and facilities and calling for public
hearing relative to the adoption of the said general
or community plan on Thursday, January 19, 1950 at
8:00 o'clock P.14., was passed and adopted by the
following roll call:

AYES: Kettler, Hinshaw, Pyles, Hamann, Overmyer,
Overacker, Kaufman, Henricksen
NOES: None
ABSENT: Tovatt
Consultant Parks presented to the Commissioners
a master plan of land use for the City of Huntington
Beach which was reviewed in detail.
The Secretary read Resolution No. 18, a reso-
lution of the Planning Commission of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, calling a public hearing
• in the matter of adopting a masterplan of land use,and
on motion by Kettler seconded by Hamann resolution No.
18 calling a public hearing in the matter of adopting
a master plan of land use was passed and adopted by the
following roll call:
AYES: Kettler, Hinshaw, Pyles, Hamann, Overmyer,
Overacker, Kaufman, Henricksen
NOES: None
• ABSENT: Tovatt

On motion by Hamann seconded by Overmyer that the
Secretary be instructed to send to the County Planning
Commission of Orange County, the map entitled "Sug;estions
for County Plaster Plan of Streets and Highways in the
vicinity of Huntington Beach", was approved.
On motion by Overmyer seconded by Hinshaw the
regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Huntington
Beach, adjourned.
