Members present: Kettler, Pyle, Kaufman, Hinshaw, • Tovatt,-Overacker, Henricksen, and Consultant Parks Members absent: Hamann, Overmyer Minutes The minutes of the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach for the month of December, 1949, as transcribed and mailed to the members were approved. Consultant Parks -Map. Consultant Parks presented a map of the City of Huntington Beach and discussed the density study of • the City of Huntington Beach and its population and future.trends and outlined the procedure used to arrive at the population factors. Consultant Parks then read a statement, a policy on anticipated changes. On motion by Hinshaw seconded by Kettler that the text of the Statement of Policy on Anticipated Changes as presented by Consultant Parks be included on the map of the general plan of land uses in the City of Huntington Beach, was approved. WM.Procter-• Wm. Procter, Recreation Director for the City of playgrounds$untington Beach, appeared before the Commission and out- lined plans for the expansion of the City Recreation pro- gram and the athletic program and stated that their present concern was to provide playground's for youngsters, and said playgrounds to ,be. located in various parts of the City, and asked the assistance of the Planning Commission to nelp with that program.'.The Commissioners requested Wm. Procter to outline on City maps the number of playgrounds and locations of those proposed playgrounds, and to submit th em,to the Commission for further study.
