Mayor Seabridge called the regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, to order
at 7:3 0 o'clock P.M.
Councilmen present: Wood, Talbert, LeBard, Seabridge
Councilmen absent: Langenbeck
On motion by Talbert seconded by Wood that the minutes of
the City Council for the month of August, 1952, as transcribed
and mailed by the City Clerk be accepted, was approved.
Finance Com. Matror Seabridge appointed Councilman Wood to serve on the
Finance Committee in the absence of Councilman Langenbeck.
Reports The Clerk read the reports for the month of August, 1952,
of Dept.
Heads. filed by the City Treasurer and City Clerk, City Collector,
Chief of Police, Manager of Municipal Trailer Park, City Engineer,
City Judge, Fire Chief and Chief Lifeguard.
On motion by LeBard seconded by Wood that the reports of the
department heads for , the month of August, 1952, .:,as read by the
Clerk be accepted and ordered filed, was approved.

Killirigsworth & Smith, Operators, to revoke their waste water
permit for Well Huntington Beach #2, which has been abandoned
on August 31, 1952, was granted.
On motion by Wood seconded by Talbert the application for
oil well permit of 0. L. Bolton Company, 327 - 17th Street,
Huntington Beach, to drill a new well-"M-B-R" #1 located on Lot -a
2-4-6, Block 521, 17th Street Section, and said application sub-

granted.

The Clerk read a letter from Harry A. Overmyer, City Eng-
ineer, submitting to the City Council for their consider.".ation

furnishing of twenty-three Marbelite centrifugally spun rein-
forced light standards Design No. 62-D6, together with the nee-
essary lighting units and said units to replace the obsolete
poles on Orange Avenue from Lake to Sixth Street, and Sixth
Street from, Ocean Avenue to Main Street, at a total cost quoted
in the amount of $4,024.77 plus State Sales Tax to include deliv-
ery and erection as set forth in proposal on file. All nece-
ssary wiring to be done by City forces.
On motion by Talbert seconded by LeBard the City Engineer
be instructed to order from the Pacific Union Metal Company in
accordance with their quotation and proposal on file for the fur-
nishing and erection of twenty-three Marbelite centrifugally spun
reinforced light standards Design No. 62-D6, together with the
necessary lighting units, was approved.

term on the City Planning Commission be confirmed, was approved.
