Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, to order at
7:30 o'clock P.M.

Street between Main Street and Lake Avenue and three units of the
same type on Park Street between Quincy and Springfield and two
units of the same type on the west side of Pine Street between
Quincy and Springfield at a cost of $132.00 per pole as recommended
by the Streets and Parks Committee, was approved.
On motion by Langenbeck seconded by LeBard that the City
Engineer be instructed to order the Southern California Edison
Company to install 37 Edison Company steel poles, installation of
16 lighting units on existing Edison Company wood poles and the re-
vision of 23 existing gooseneck lights together with modiernizing
9 existing gooseneck 'lights at the-loc&t_ions-:shown on the Master
Plan of maps submitted by the City -Engineer and in accordance..i-t th
the recommendation of the Streets and Parks Committee at a cost of

Beach to be held at the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of

consideration.
Mayor Seabridge asked if there was anyone present that wished
to voice their opinions for or against the notice to construct
sidewalks-asr ead by the Clerk. There being no response from any-
one present Mayor Seabridge declared the bearing on the"notice to
construct sidewalks as posted by the Strei?t Superintendent on
November 7, 1952, closed.,
On motion by Langenbeck seconded by Wood that the Street
Superintendent be instructed to proceed via th the construction of
the sidewalks and said sidewalks to be constructed by the Street
Superintendent after the expiration period as required by State
law if the property owners have not proceeded vt th the vo rk, was
approved.

expressing the thanks and appreciation in behalf.of the City of

W. E. Draper appeared before the City Council and asked the
Council to sell him Lot 17, in Tract 73, at.the same price that
Lot 15, in the same tract, was sold at public auction at a prior
meeting.
On motion by Wood seconded by Langenbeck that Lot 17, Tract
73, be retained by the City at this time, was approved.
The Clerk read Resolution #1186, 'a resolution of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach approving and adopting
a General Plan -of Beach and Shoreline of the City of Huntington
Beach as a• part of the Master Plan of said City.
On motion by Langenbeck seconded by Wood Resolution#1186

G.W.Garrish The Clerk read the cancellation of the lease that the City of

cancelled Huntington Beach entered into with Georgianna W. Garrish on the
1st day of January, 1946,.covering a portion of the 44 acres
upon which the Huntington Beach Sewage Plant is located.,
On motion by Langenbeck seconded by LeBard that the Mayor
and the City Clerk be -authorized to execute the cancellation of
lease entered into with Georgianna W. Garrish and dated the 1st
day of January, 1946, after Georgianna Garrish has executed the
quitclaim deed, was approved.
H.F.Berry& The Clerk read the license agreement between the City of
L.T.Davis-
lic.agrmt. Huntington Beach, a municipal corporation, and Herbert F. Berry
and Lonnie T. Davis, Licensee, said license agreement giving
Licensee permission to use portion -of the Pier for the selling
of fares on the Sportfishing barge and for_ the loading and un-
loading of passengers and to place on board said barge, the
necessary equipement, material, and supplies, and said agreement
to become effective the first day of January, 1953, and to ex-
pire on the 31st day of December, 1955•
On motion by Langenbeck seconded by Wood that the Mayorand
the City Clerk be authorized to execute the license agreement
between the City of Huntington Beach and Herbert F. Berry and :.
Lonnie T. Davis, as read by the City Clerk, was approved.
Pac.Elec.Co.- The Clerk read the Highway Quitclaim Easement dated the
quit claim
29th day of October, 1R52, between the Pacific Electric Co., a
California corporation, and the City of Huntington Beach, a
.municipal corporation, that releases and forever quitclaims to the
City of Huntington Beach the right to construct and maintain a
highway upon and across a cehtain parcel of land situated in the
City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
and lying vt thin the railroad right, -of -way of the Pacific Elec-
tric Railway Company, Located at the 17th Street railroad crossing.
