HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-05-06f MINUTES Council'Chamber, City Hall Huntington Beach, California Wednesday, May 6, 1953 Pursuant to adjournment of the regular meeting .of the City Council of May 4, 1953, the City Clerk called the ad- journed meeting of the City Council to order at 6:30 o'clock P.M. in the absence of Mayor Seabridge. Councilmen present:. Wood, Talbert, Langenbeck, LeBard, Seabridge (Seabridge arrived at 6:39 P.M.) Councilmen absent: None The Clerk ordered a recess at 6:31 o'clock P.M. Mayor Seabridge arrived at 6:39 P.M. Mayor Seabridge called the Council to order at.6s40 o'clock P.M. City Att�Sy On motion by Talbert seconded by Langenbeck that the City re: tide Attorney be instructed to check into the City 's ;.position relative to the tidelands and the effect the position it places the City=in when final action on the tidelands legis- lation is made by Congress,.and that the City Attorney be allowed the legal fee for his services in accordance with schedule on file with the City Clerk, was approved. On motion by Langenbeck seconded by LeBard that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach rescind its action to sell at public auction the 1.189 acres, located at the junction of Huntington and Ocean. Avenues, was approved by the following roll call vote: AYES:. Councilmen: Langenbeck, LeBard, Seabridge NOES: Councilmen: Wood, , Talbert ABSENT: Councilmen: None.
