HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-10-27MINUTES HUNTI NGTON BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION Council Chamber, City Hall Huntington Beach, Californim Tuesday, October 27, 1953 Pursuant to adjournment of the regular meeting of • the Planning Commission on October 20, 1953, the adjourned meeting was called to order at 8:05 o'clock P.M. by Chairman Schryer. .Commissioners present: Schryer, Tunis, Presson, Davis . Commissioners absent: Stang, King, Kettler Others present: City Attorney Bauer Planning Consultant Parks Mrs.Tunis Mrs. Florence Tunis, representing the Planning Commis - reports onsion at the California League of Cities Convention held Conventionin San Francisco on October 18 to 21, 1953, gave a very descriptive and informative report of the Convention. • On motion by Presson seconded by Davis that the work accomplished by Mrs. Tunis at the Convention be fully appreciated and the report as read be accepted - and ordered filed, was approved. 1 • • 1 Mr. Parks- Mr. Parks gaveca brief summary of changes made in P1an.Law the Planning Law by the last session of the State Legislature. y Res.#29- The Secretary read Resolution No. 29, a resolution Setback of the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington lines, Beach relative to recommending setback lines on portions passed of Delaware Avenue, Huntington Avenue, Memphis Street, and Oswego Street. A motion by Davis seconded by Presson that Resolution No. 29, as read by the Secretary, be passed and adopted, and submitted to the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, was passed andadopted by the followingg roll call vote: AYES: Commissioners: Tunis, Davis, Presson, Schryer NOES: Commissioners: None ABSENT: Commissioners: Stang, King, Kettler Reso-030- The Secretary read Resolution No. 30.. a resolution Setback of the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach lines, relative to recommending setback lines on portions of Hampshire, Hampshire Avenue. passed On motion by Davis seconded by Presson that Resolution No. 30, as read by the Secretary, be passed and adopted, and submitted to the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach was passed and adopted by the folowing roll call vote: R esol:#31- S etback lines, no.side of Coast Hwy., passed AYES: Commissioners: Tunis, Davis, Pressoh, Schryer NOES: Commissioners: None ABSENT: Commissioners: Stang, King, Kettler The Secretary read Resolution No. 31, asresolutton of the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach relative to establishing setback lines on the northerly side of Coast Highway. • Page #2 Minutes - October 27, 1953 H. Planninn Commission On motion.by Davis -seconded by Presson that Resolution No. 31, as read by the Secretary, be passed and adopted, and submittedto the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote: AYES: Commissioners: Tunis, Davis, Presson, Schryer NOES: Commissioners: None ABSENT: Commissioners: Stang, King,Kettler Cons.Parks- Consultant Parks presented and read a proposed prop.change resolution relative to changes in the sub -division in sub-div, ordinance which would establish standards for improve- ord. ments by ordinance or refer -to such standards. The subject of -proposed changes in sub -division regulations was referredby the Chairman to the Sub -Division Committee for study and report.
