Councilmen present: Seabridge, Bryant, Talbert, Wood., LeBard Councilmen absent: None H:M.-Gri-mes- On motion by LeBard seconded by Bryant the Firemen's Fund Elect.Bond. Indemnity Company Electricians's Bond for Harold M. Grimes dba Grimes Electric Company, and as approved for form by the City Attorney, was accepted and ordered filed. Neaves P'etr. On motion by Wood seconded by Talbert the request of the Devel.- term.drlg. Neaves Petroleum Development for termination of the Travelers bond ` Indemnity Company Drilling Bond No. 384356 on well located on Lots 9 and 10, Block 1004, Vista Del Mar Tract, in,accor dance with report of Well Abandonment from State of California, Division of Oil & Gas, was approved. Term.drlg. On;. notio:n by -Wood seconded by LeBard the request from bond - Ruth -Ellen 'Pacific Drilling Company for termination of Glens Falls #2 well Indemnity Company Drilling Bond No. 654398 on well Ruth -Ellen #2', located on Lots 18, 20, 22, in Block 114, Huntington Beach Tract, in accordance with the requirements of Section 2427.3 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code submitting survey of the well, was granted. Ord.#604- The Clerk gave Ordinance No. 604, its second reading by 2nd reading o title, and Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach repealing Sections 7561, 7562, 7563, and 7564, of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code relating to life saving equipment. On motion by Wood seconded by LeBard Ordinance No. 604 was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen: Bryant, Talbert, Wood, LeBard, Seabridge NOES: Councilmen:- None ABSENT: . Councilmen: None Grading & Mr. Welch of Welch's Ready Mixed Concrete plant appeared Oiling of Florida Ave. before the City Council and asked the Council when he could betw. Utica & Quincy expect the grading and oiling of Florida Avenue between Quincy and Utica Streets. On motion by'Wood seconded by Bryant the City Engineer be instructed to proceed with the grading and oiling of Florida Avenue between Quincy and Utica Streets at an estimated cost of $1,700.00, was approved. 9 F_� • C7 • J 1 1 J 374 • • 1 1 • Constr.alley from Florida to Georgia Aves. Remove two trees, on Main St. & Palm Ave. Page #2 Minutes - Tuesday, December 29, 1953 On motion by Wood seconded by Talbert the City Engineer be instructed to proceed with the construction of the alley from Florida Avenue to Georgia Avenue between Indianapolis and Joliet Streets, was approved. On motion by Wood seconded by LeBar d the City Engineer be instructedto remove the two trees, one a Eucalyptus tree in parkway on Main Street and a Pepper tree on Palm Avenue on the property of Dr. Gruber, in accordance with the owners' request. provided, however, that the owner will agree to pay one-half the cost of the removal of the trees, was approved. Lake Park On motion by LeBar d seconded by Wood that the City Engineer Clubhouse - to be reno- be instructed to proceed with the renovation of the Lake Park vated Clubhouse and to consult with the Building Committee relative L to the fefurnishing of the building, was approved, • Propose The City Council reviewed the proposed changes in the changes in City'Emp. City Employees compensatton schedules. Comp. Schedules City Attorney Bauer reported to the City Council that he would endeavor to have the Ordinances amending the City Employees compensation schedules, in accordance with the ranges discussed for the first reading on January 4, 1954. • Cross;- On motion by Wood seconded by LeBard the City Attorney walks,betwo 9th & "A" and the City Engineer make the necessary application to the Sts .
