McDonald will e xp ire on June 30, 1954, and at the regular meeting of the Library Board held on June 9, 1954s a motion be made and carried to recommend to the City Council the re -appointment of Edith Vavra and J. K. McDonald for another term ending June 30, 1957. Mayor Seabridge recommended to the City Council members the re- . appointment of Edith Vavra andJ. K. McDonald to serve on the trustee- ship of the Huntington Beach Public Library Board for another term ending June 30, 1957. On motion by Bartlett seconded by .Wood the recommendation of Mayor Seabridge to re -appoint Edith Vavra and J. K. McDonald to the Huntington Beach Public Library Board of Trustees for another term ending June 39, 1957, was approved. Fire Chief On motion by Wood seconded by Lockett the Fire Chief, D. Donald Rampton appeared before the City Council and requested permission to locate another business to be known as the Coast • Metalizing Company on an area adjacent to that occupied by the Southwest Sandblasting Company, and asked for an amendment to the lease t o ' cover an additional area about 4.0 feet by 4.8 feet south of the present leased area. • Mayor Seabridge referred the request of Donald Rampton to the City Council for advisement and study. Bernie Bernie Donald of Sea -Breeze Bar-B-Q, locatecbon Highway #101, Donald appeared before the City Council and requested to use the area under a lease arrangement for a parking lot on the ground not occupied by G. R. Morgan for the kiddie ride lease arrangements, and for said parking lease the City to receive 20% of the gross receipts;. Mayor Seabridge referred the, request of Bernie Donald to the Cauncil,. as a body, to take under advisement.
