Minutes - Monday, November 1, 1954 Mme 1 • the Council to prohibit oil drilling on the .City -owned acreage which adjoins the trailer Park property to the south, and should proposed oil well drilling leases be under consideration that the Council be asked to.keep open the eighty foot right-of-way necessary for the proposed extension of Delaware Avenue as their deed requires that they dedicate land to the City of Huntington Beach for' the proposed extension of Delaware Avenue to the east of the Trailer Park prop- erty and for the proposed . street to the south of the Trailer Park property. The City Council discussed the proposed area to be set aside on the north side of the City -owned 46. acres for the proposed oil lease drilling site in accordance with plot area outlined on the map presented by the City Engineer. On motion by Bartlett seconded by LeBard the area as outlined in red on the map presented by,the City Engineer covering the 46 acres owned by the City of Huntington Beach be approved in principal for drilling site and to exclude eighty feet of the area for the proposed extension of Delaware Avenue, was approved. Wm.Schryer-. Wm..Schryer appeared before the City Council -and asked that sewer term- inus the City give consideration to extending the sewer from the present terminus on Springfield Street, between Park and Pine Streets, norther- ly into Block 1802, as he has to terminate the use of the septic tank serving his dwelling. The septic tank is located on the property just south of Springfield. He would agree to pay for the sanitation line extension and dedicate his half of the alley for the purpose, and would pay the City for the extension and work out an equitable adjustment when the City extends the sewer through Block 1802. -Mayor.Seabridge referred the request of Wm. Schryer to the 0 Sanitation Committee for study and report. I� Robt. D. On motion by LeBard seconded by Bartlett the request of Robert Bazil pur- chases tax D. Bazil to .purchase from the City tax title lots No. 19 and No. 20, title lots Block 913, Wesley Park Tract, and to pay for a preliminary title search to the property to see if it is feasible to get a clear title, was referred to the City Attorney with `instructions to secure preliminary title report, was approved.
