City Hall Huntington Beach, California -Monday, December 12, 1955 Pursuant to adjournment of the regular meeting of December 5, 1955, Mayor Seabridge called the adjourned meeting of the City Council to order at 7:30 o!clock P.M. Councilmen Present: Terry, Lockett, Bartlett, Seabridge Councilmen Absent: LeBard Mayor Seabridge appointed Councilman Lockett to serve on the Finance Committee in the absence of Councilman LeBard.- On motion by Bartlett seconded by Lockett the applications Business for license to conduct business in the City of Huntington Beach were Licenses granted as follows: Paul C. Jones, hardware store at 112 Main Street. Herbert Farrington, peddling novelties, veteran's license. Ora Gross, peddling novelties, veteran's.license. Paul B. Scroggins, peddling novelties, veteran's license. Norman Johnstone, peddling novelties, veteran's license. The Clerk gave the second and final reading to Ordinance Ord.#637, No. 637, an ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach prohibiting the final • reading transferring of oil from oil storage or prodlxctt6h tah4s tm trucks and adding Section 2428.1 to the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code. On motion by Bartlett seconded by Lockett Ordinance No. 637 was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen: Terry, Lockett, Bartlett, S®abridge NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: LeBard The Clerk gave the second and final reading to Ordinance Ord.#638, No. 638, an ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach relating to the final reading prima facie speed limit on 17th Street between Ocean Avenue and Main Street, and adding Section 6172 and 6172.1 to the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code. On motion by Lockett seconded by Terry Ordinance No. 638, was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen: Terry, Lockett,.Bartlett, Seabridge NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: LeBard The Clerk gave the second and final reading to Ordinance No, Ord.#639, 639, aniordinance of the City of Huntington Beach relating to the making final reading of false reports and adding Section 1318 to the Huntington Beach Ordi- nance Code. On motion by Terry seconded by Bartlett the request of Ben Herb G. Oldenburg H. Dulaney, thief of Police, to reclassify Herbert G. Oldenburg from promoted to Police Sgt. Police Officer to Police Sergeant in Range 28; Bracket "D", and to be effective December'12, 1955,' was approved. The Clerk read Resolution"No. 1257, a resolution of the Reso.#1257 gas tax City Council of the City of Huntington Beach adopting budget and allocation approving memorandum of agreement for expenditure of'gas tax allo- cation for major city streets. On motion by Lockett seconded by Bartlett Resolution No. 1257 was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen: Terry, Lockett, Bartlett, Seabridge NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: LeBard On motion by Bartlett seconded by Lockett the demands Demands as approved by t-he Finance Committee be ordered paid, was approved, On motion by Bartlett seconded by Terry the request of Nitshowski- V.
