boat landing, and to take the necessary action to process use of

Friday, April 6, 1956
Pursuant to call for a special meeting of City Councilmen,
original of which is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes,
the Council met in special session and was called to order at 7:30
o'clock P.M. by Mayor Seabridge.

Gentlemen,
You are hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, is called for
and will be held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall at the hour
of 7:30 o'clock P.M., April 6, 1956, for the purpose of discussing
working arrangement with present lessees of pier boat landing, and to

Mayor Seabridge stated this special meeting was called for
the purpose of discussing working arrangement with present lessees of
the Municipal Pier boat landing, and to take the necessary action to

sent constructing the marine pipe line for which the City granted
an easement, requested the use of the Municipal Pier and Pier land-
ing for the purpose of operating a water taxi to carry workmen and
personnel to and from the barge operations and said use to be ap-
proximately six days.
L. B. Kelly reached an agreement with W. C. Wantz and
Kernodle Jr. co -owners of the pier landing to use the landing for
a consideration involving certain repairs to the landing.
On motion by Terry and seconded by Bartlett the request of
L. P. Kelly representing the Smith -Rice Derrick Barges, Incorporated,
to use the Municipal Pier and boat landing for a period of one week
commencing Monday, April 9, 1956 for the purpose of loading and un-
loading personnel to a water taxi serving the derrick barge and to
furnish the City with a certificate of insurance covering protective
indemnity to the pier and landing facilities and to hold the City
harmless for said period of operations, was approved.
On motion by Bartlett seconded by Lockett the Special
Meeting of•the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach adjourned.
