M. Commissioners present: Lyle, Stang, Schryer, Bardwell, Davis, Presson, Bazil Commissioners absent: None Others present: City Attorney Bauer, Consultant Charles Diggs. Edward The Secretary informed the Commissioners that the Stang re- City Council at the last regular meeting of the City Council appointed re -appointed Edward Stang to serve another term on the Pl.Comm. The Secretary presented to the Planning Commission Study of the Home Occupation definitions received from the League Home of California Cities, Berkeley office, which had been re - Occupations quested by the Commission and said definitions of various cities received were read. Chairman Bardwell referred the subject of Home Occupations to the zoning committee for study and report. Change- Motion by Schryer seconded by Stang the City Council Loma St. to be requested to reconsider recommendations of the Planning 14th St. Commission to change the name of Loma Street to Fourteenth Street. Motion carried. Motion by Bazil seconded by Schryer the Commission Angle recommend to the City Council to consider changing the Parking. present angle parking on the first three blocks of Main Main St. Street to Monterey type parking in order to correct present dangerous parking problems due to the new type and length of the present day cars and to help and lower accident hazards. Motion carried. Motion by Schryer seconded by Bazil a resolution of Reso.- intention be drawn up to provide for one off-street parking Off -Street space for each living unit in the R-1, R-2, R-3, R-4 and R-5 Parking Districts and to provide for one-third of the land area for off-street parking for all commercial and industrial distr- icts. Motion carried. Motion by Stang seconded by Presson the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach request the Council to review the prior recommendations of the Planning Commission that were made to provide for off-street parking in the Commercial district. Planning Commission The Commissioners asked Sherman Denny, Land Lease Request for Manager of the Huntington Beach Company if he desired to Re -zoning make a statement regarding the request of petitioners to of Lake St. re -zone the area east of Lake Street and West of the & Knoxville railroad track between Knoxville Street and Utica Street Streets. to an R-1 zone. Sherman Denny stated that the Huntington Beach Company feels that the present zoning in effect is adequate at the present time and that it is a little premature to re -zone the area to an R-1 district.
