In the absence of Mayor Terry, the Clerk called
the regualr meeting of the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach to order at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
Councilmen present: Bryant, Bartlett, Lockett.
Councilmen absent : Irby, Terry.
Lockett On motion by Bartlett seconded by

Bryant that Councilman Lockett be appointed Mayor
protem in the absence of Mayor Terry, be approved.
Motion carried.

the minutes of the meetings of the City,.,Council
of August 5, and 19 as transcribed and mailed by
the City Clerk, be approved. Motion carried.

of August, filed by the City Treasurer, City Clerk,
City Engineer, Building Inspector, Ass't Fire Chief,
Manager of Municipal Trailer Park, City Collector,
Chief Lifeguard, Chief of Police, and Superintendent
of Recreation.
On motion by Bartlett seconded by Bryant
the reports of the Department Heads for the month
of August as read by the City Clerk be accepted and
ordered filed. Motion carried.

enterim zoning district "B", providing regulations relating
to the creation, construction and alteration of buildings,
structures and improvements and the uses of land in said
district; prescribing penalties for violation of any and all of

the provisions hereof; and adopting, by reference, the
Orange County Land Use Ordinance as the same has been
amended, said Ordinance establishing land classification
and districts within the unincorporated territory of
Orange County and regulating the uses of property therein,

terms used in said Ordinance, providing for the adjust-
ments, enforcement and amendment,.thereof and prescribing
penalties for its violation, and passed on December 3, 1935.

carried.

for permission to purchase a new typewriter for the
