Mayor Irby called the regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Huntington Beach to order at
7:30 o'clock P. M.
Councilmen present: Lambert, Bryant, Terry, Waite, Irby.
Councilmen Absent: None.

Beach Planning Couh-nission relative to Use Variance #133,
petitioner being George B. Burnett to allow the continued
use of an auto salvage yard and expansion 150 feet north-
ward also to allow continuing use of a house trailer for
a night watchman, location being approximately 500 feet
north of Talbert Avenue on the east side of Gothard Street
and after a public hearing held by the Planning Commission
of the City of Huntington Beach a motion was duly made and
carried to recommend approval of UV #133 subject to the
following conditions:
1. TIME L I14=
UV #133 shall expire four years from the date of approval.
2. BURNING
There shall be no burning of refuse, scrap material
or like substances on the premises.
3. FENuIiWG
There shall be an 8 feet solid high tight fence
surrounding all areas approved for auto wrecking in
this variance. Said required fencing shall be con-
structed within 60 days on the granting of UV #133,
unless adequate arrangements with the building inspector
are otherwise provided for. Said fencing shall be
constructed of either comparatively new wood materials,
properly painted and maintained, or corrugated iron.
4. REVOCATION
Failure to comply with the above conditions shall
constitute grounds for revoking UV #133 at discretion
of the City Council.

recommending approval of UV #133, after Assistant .Fire Chief
Rardin reported to the City Council that it would be a hard-
ship on the applicant if no burning was permitted ih accordance
to the restrictions of item #2 in the conditions to be imposed,
was withdrawn upon request of Councilman Lambert.

pottery in an R-2-0 zoning district, location being approx-
imately 100 feet south of Acacia Street on the easterly
side of 16th Street, legal description being Lots 18 and
20, Block 515, Huntington Beach Tract, and the Planning
Commission after a public hearing duly held.on December
2nd, 1958, moved and motion carried to recommend approval
of UV #136 without conditions.

and report.

of obtaining plans, specifications, engineering and
surveys, and such cost at no expense to the City of
Huntington Beach. No action taken.

a period of 90 days and said services to include the re-
quired filing of evidence of compensation Insurance,
Public Liability, Property Damage, and required bond, and
for said services will be paid $1,000.00 per month, be

cussion regarding the lease with the Huntington Beach
Company relative to the percentage operation of the Golf
Course and that an agreement will be presented to the City
Council at an early date for consideration.
