The Secretary displayed a revised map which was prepared by the Planning and Engineering Offices which permitted the same number of 28 lots, but with the streets all designed as full width. The applicant was asked for a statement in regards to whether he thought he could utilize the suggested alternative. Davis stated that he believed that he could alter his map in accordance with the suggestion and derive a more satisfactory map. Davis stated that drainage wise it would also be more satisfactory to have the alter - hate map. The Secretary asked the Members of the Commission for a policy ruling in regards to half streets, in the event the applicant or other applicants would decide to attempt half streets. The Commission gave an informal decision stating that they would oppose half streets or sub -standard streets except for the most rare exceptions. The Secretary also quoted a hypothetical case of an estates size subdivision lots, where a street might have to be substandard within an undeveloped area. The Commission indicated that it might be possible for a conditional exception in a case like this, only depending upon the individual circumstances. The Secretary indicated that Tentative Tract Map No. 3126 would be placed upon the 5. 126 Page #6 Minutes - H. B.
