HUNTINGTON BEACH PLANNING COMMISSION

Tuesday, March 17th, 1959
Commissioners Present: _Davis, Schryer, Presson, Stang,
Sork, Chairman - Bazil.
Commissioners Absent: Liles.
Minutes: On motion by Schryer and seconded
by Stang, the Minutes of the
Huntington Beach Planning Commission Meeting of Tuesday,
March 3rd9 1959, as transcribed and mailed by the Secretary
were accepted as mailed.
TENTATIVE TRACT MAP 3126 The Secretary read a report and
recommendations. The Chairman
opened the hearing to the audience, there being no comment,
the hearing was closed.
The developer was asked if he had
any objections to the recommended conditions. Mr Ralph
Davis stated that he had no objections.
A MOTION WAS MADE BY DAVIS AND
SECONDED BY PRESSON TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL `lITH THE
FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. The 20 feet alley east of Lot "A" shall be constructed
with a 24!1 inverted concrete gutter, or equivalent
alternates as approved by the City Engineer.
2. Either connected or dry sewers shall be installed.
3. Lots 1, 24, and 28, shall dedicate limited vehicular
access to Garfield Street to the City of Huntington
Beach.
4. "C" Street shall be named Carolyn Court �or
or Avenue),
"B" Street shall be named Kathryn Court Avenue),
"A" Street shall be named Lisa Street.
5. Street lighting, tree planting, park requirements,
and all other requirements specified in the sub-
division code shall be mandatory requirements.
6. The curb returns on Carolyn Court and Kathryn Court
shall be completed to a point where the curb parallels
the alley.

RESOLUTION OF INTENT NO 59
A resolution declaring the
Planning Commission's intent
to revise the current Master Plan of Streets and Highways.
Changes proposed on the new
revised plan would be right-of-way widths as follows:
OLD REQUIREMENTS: Secondary Primary Major
Highways Highways Highways
88 feet 96 feet 112 feet
NEW REQUIREMENTS: 84 feet 100 feet 120 feet
Changes affecting the map would include the abandonment
of highway requirements west of Bolsa Chica Street along
Smeltzer Avenue. The extension of Graham and Edwards Streets
as Secondary Highways, and the extension of Bolsa Avenue
as a Major Highway. Gothard Street was proposed a north-
erly extension of a secondary highway to be located on
centerline 330 feet from the Pacific Electric Railroad right-
of-way. There were other minor changes.

zoning ordinance is known.
DISCUSSION ON PROPOSED -02 AND -03 COMBINING RESTRICTED
OIL DISTRICTS.
Because of the referendum re:Mred to above, any new study
or action was postponed.
