Planning Commission Tuesday, i11ay 3rd, 1960 that he had property in the area. A history of the case was discussed during which it was pointed out that many of the residents in the area under consideration have approached the Planning Commission for aid in rezoning their area out of industrial and back to residential to protect the established residential district. It was pointed out that in September of 1959 a post card survey was sent out to property owners of record in the general area and the results of the survey indicated that a ma- jority of property owners hacl an interest in rezoning to residential zoning. In March,1960 a petition for re- zoning to R-2 Residential District was signed by 24 petitioners and submitted to the Planning Department. On the basis of the petition, the Planning Commission re- quested a public hearing to determine the sentiment of the area.
