i?_ 3 Zoning

as it actually is at present. Mr. Tripp gave a short resume
of the case as presented before the City Planning Commission

City Attorney Bauer- The City Attorney informed the Council
Investigation of Public
Hearin s that he had made an investigation into
the matter of public hearings as required on actions of the
Planning Commission and City Council. Mr.'Bauer stated that

public hearing was given, did not grant, but rather denied,
a conditional exception Variance. Mr. Bauer further -stated
that he believed the city had followed the Huntington Beach

Ordinance Code in meeting the requirements for public hearing,
as established by the code. He again reminded the Council that
if any action were taken to reverse their previous action, and
any vested rights intervened, the City would probably be held

formance of said conditions by anyone other than the recipient
of a variance. Councilmen Waite stated that he would like
some guarantee that the citizens of the area involved would
get together and make an effort to clean up their property
