ACTION ON USE VARIANCE NO 120
The Fire Chief reported on the
fire hazard existing in an area located approximately in
the southwest corner of Newland St. and Hamilton Ave. The
Secretary reported that a variance had been granted as UV
120 for a trailer park on a specific plot plan which was
fronting on Pacific Coast Highvay at a location approximately
1000 ft west of Newland St. But it was noted that the
applicant had specified a vague 25 acre legal description
area that for the most part had not been built upon. Since
the variance was granted on June 3, 1958 and the Huntington
Beach Ordinance Code provides that the City Council may
revoke any uncompleted portion of the variance after six
months from the date of granting, it was suggested that a
recommendation be made to City Council asking them to
revoke the uncompleted portion of the variance on the basis
of the fire chiefs fire hazard report. Discussion was
held at length.
