HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961-04-03MINUTES Council Chamber, City Hall Huntington Beach, California Monday, April 3rd, 1961 Mayor Gisler called the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach to.order at 7:30 o'clock P.M. The Pledge of Allegiance was given by all present in the Council Chamber. The Invocation was given by Reverend Andrews of the First Southern Baptist Church of Huntington Beach. Tribut=, to Immediately following the invocation, CIL fi Tr La Reverend Andrews gave a beautiful tribute to Mr. Clifford E. Tripp, Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach, who passed away on March 29th, 1961. Reverend Andrews stated that Cliff was an industrious person, a worker, an energetic person and very capable in his fieldcf service; that he was a kind man, a good father, a good husband and a good friend to all who knew him. No. 1460 date and hour set for a public hearing on Resolution No. 1469 of the City Council declaring intention to vacate a portion of Huntington Avenue in said City and giving notice of a hearing on said vacation. The Clerk read notice of public hearing on Resolution No. 1469 of the City Council as published in the Huntington Beach News, March 9th, 1961, setting the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, Huntington Beach, California, as the time and place, when and where, a public hearing shall be held upon said Resolution of Intention to vacate said portion of Huntington Avenue at which hearing all persons interested in or objecting to proposed vacation may be heard. Acting Planning Director Dick Harlow, pointed out on a map the area involved in this Zone Case. The Clerk informed the Council that he had received no written protests on Zone Case No. 148.
