Councilmen Present: Wells, Lambert, Stewart, Waite, Gisler Councilmen Absent: None Coastal freeway The Clerk read the call for Special Meeting which had been.received and given consent to by the City Council members prior to 6:30 o'clock P.M. on Thursday, June 1, 1961, for the purpose of considering a resolution rela- ting to the Coastal Freeway. MOORHOUSO CHIEF LIFEGUARD You are hereby notified that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, is called for and will be held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall at the hour of 6:30 o'clock P.M., Friday, June 2nd, 1961, for the purpose of considering a resolution relating to the Coastal Freeway. Motion carried. Reso. No. 1497 The Clerk read Resolution -No. 1497, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RECOMMENDING A CHANGE OF THE PLAN OF HIGHWAY DEVELOPMENT BETWEEN STATE SIGN ROUTE 39 AND'IST STREET IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH." City Admin. The City Administrator pointed out on a map the changes proposed by the Resolution. City Atty. The City Attorney discussed some of the possibilities which might result if the State Highway Department approves the proposed change of the Freeway plans. Discussion Held Some discussion was•held by the Council Concerning Changes concerning the changes proposed, and the possible effect it might have on the Driftwood Inn lease and City beaches. Reso. No, 1497. On motion by Waite, seconded by Wells, Adopted 1.11 . . Resolution No. 1497 was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen: Wells, -Lambert, Stewart, Waite, Gisler NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None Meeting On motion by Waite, seconded by Wells, Ad iourned the special meeting of the City Council 'of the City of Huntington Beach adjourned.
