Wednesday, November 15, 1961
The regular adjourned meeting of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach was called to order at
11:00 o'clock A.M. by Mayor Ernest Gisler.
The Pledge of Allegiance was given by all
present in the Council Chamber.

in full - "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNT-
INGTON BEACH RELATING TO SALARY CLASSIFICATION; AMENDING SECTIONS OF
THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE AND ADDING SECTION 1591.113
THERETO."
Prisoner Expenses The City Administrator presented the matter
To County
of payment of prisoner expense to the
County, by the Cities, for consideration of the Council. Mr. Miller
informed the Council that this matter was being considered by the
Executive Committee of the Orange County League of California Cities,
and that some Cities are withholding payment of these warrants until
the matter is settled.
Payment to County - On motion by Wells, seconded by Waite, the
Withheld Temp.
City Auditor was directed to withhold pay-
ments to the County for prisoner expense until the matter was settled
by the Executive Committee; and he is directed to make such payment.
Motion carried.
Mr: Jack BullarfP.D. The Clerk read a communication from the Chief
Request
of Police requesting Council permission to
permit the use of accumulated vacation by Mr. Jack Bullar, an employee
in his Department. Chief Wright explained to the Council that Mr.
Bullar had to take some time off because of serious illness in the
family, and recommended that the request be granted.
A motion was made by Wells that the request
of Mr. Bullar to use accumulated vacation days be granted. A discus-
sion was held by the Council on the fact that no set period of time
was requested, and the motion failed for lack of a second.
Referred To On motion by Waite, seconded by Wells, the
City Admin.
