COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None. MINUTES: The adjourned -meeting of the City Planning Commission was called to order at 7:30 o' clock P.M. by Chairman Stang. DISCUSSION: EXPANSION OF CONVALESCENT HOSPITAL A discussion was held partaining to the possibility of an expansion of the con- valescent hospital to 96 beds. Mr. Zingrabe, partner in the hospital, addressed the Commission and stated that he was faced with a parking problem if the hospital is expanded at the rear of the property, which is now paved for parking. It was the concensus of the Commission that some reduction in required parking is quite possible, since the visiting hours are not specified. Mr. Zingrabe further stated thatthere is never more than 25 cars parked at one time in his present 54 parking spaces and that the parking area in the rear has never been used for parking. The general feeling of the Commission was that expansion of the convalescent hospital is a good idea and apparently one parking space per bed is not necessary for this type operation. The Chairman suggested to Mr. Zingrabe that he work out a sketch of the proposed expansion with the parking that could be provided and to submit it to the Commission for further study. 29 Page #2 Minutes - H.
