HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-06-27397 MINUTES Council Chamber, City Hall Huntington Beach, California Wednesday, June 27, 1962 Mayor Lambert called the regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach to order at 11:59 o'clock A.M. Councilmen Present: Councilmen Absent: Stewart, Welch, Lambert Wells, Gisler Res. #16I4 The Clerk read Resolution #1614 - "A Adgp�ed RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING TRANSFERS OF APPROPRIATIONS BETWEEN DEPARTMENT BUDGET ACCOUNTS 1961-1962." On motion by Stewart, seconded by Welch, Resolution #1614 was passed and adopted by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen: Stewart, Welch, Lambert NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: Wells, Gisler, Ext. of Radio Agree. The Clerk presented an agreement extending City & County agreement for municipal radio services between the City of Huntington Beach and the County of Orange, entered into and effective August lst, 1961, for consideration of the Council. Ext. of Agreement On motion by Stewart, seconded by Welch, Approved Council approved the extension of the agree- ment with the County for municipal radio services, and authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute same on behalf of the City. Motion carried. Architects Req. to Assistant Administrator Brander Castle Bid on Fire Sta. Plans -` presented for Council consideration, the names of the architectural firms requesting permission to bid on plans for proposed fire stations in the City of Huntington Beach, as follows: -1- (6/27/62) Page #2 - Minutes, June 27, 1962 Griffin and Banks, Architects, A.I.A., Buena Park, California Evert Ely Parks and Paul Orvan Davis, Santa Ana, California Willard T. Jordan, Architect, A.I.A., Costa Mesa, California Ref, to City Admin. On motion by Stewart, seconded by Welch, & Fire Chief Council referred the selection of an architect for the proposed fire stations to the City Administrator and Fire Chief for recommendation to the Council. Motion carried. Mem. Hall Problems Mayor Lambert directed the Clerk to include Agenda - 7 2/62 an item on the agenda for the meeting of July 2nd, 1962, covering plans and problems for Memorial Hall. Meeting On motion by Stewart, seconded by Welch, Adjourned the regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach adjourned. Motion carried.
