This meeting was adjourned from the regular adjourned meeting of September 5, 1963. The Pledge of Allegiance was given by all present in the Council Chamber. Councilmen Present: Wells, Gisler, Stewart, Welch, Lambert Councilmen Absent: None Bert Holmes Req. to The City Administrator presented a request Purch. Lot from Mr. Bert Holmes to purchase the balance of a lot at "A"" Street and Warner Avenue for Council consideration. No Action Discussion on the matter by the Council re- vealed that the City presently does not have title to this prop1er'ty, and no action was taken. Recess_ CAlle�d Mayor Lambert called a recess of the Council at 7:38 P.M. While the Council was at recess, four top candidates for the position of Finance Director, who had been screen- ed by the State Cooperative Personnel Service were interviewed individ. ually by the Council. Following the interviewing of the candidates the Council discussed at some length the qualifications which had been presented. Council Reconvened The meeting was reconvened at 9:15 F.M by ...._.,.� the A4ayor'. Frank Arguello On motion by Stewart, seconded by Wells, Ema. Finance Director Mr. Frank Arguello of Colton be employed as Finance Director in Range 50-A, effective on October 1, 1963 or later at the convenience of the applicant. Motion carried. Informal Mtg. Mayor Lambert called a meeting of the Council 9116L§3, 7aam , as an informal committee of the whole, for Monday, September 16, 1963 at 7:00 A.M. in the.Council Chamber for a study session. Mug.
