RE -ZONING STUDY: TALBERT AVENUE -SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD AREA
The Planning Director
reported the results of a zoning study requested by the Com-
mission for the area in the vicinity of Talbert Avenue and the
S.P.R.R. The study was requested as a result of a petition
for an R-5 zone on Talbert Avenue just east of the railroad.
Two alternate, plans
were explained. The first proposed re4oning some of the pro-
perty along Taylor Avenue, including the existing school site,
to R-1 as a separation between the industrial area and the
existing single family tract. The second plan'in addition
to the R-1 proposed an R-3 zone between the commercial frontage
on the west side of Beach Boulevard and the existing single
family tract to the west.

the study and bring back'a revised plan at a later date.
