TUESDAY, APRIL 28i 1964 COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Crabb, Letson, Bazil, Kaufman, Miller. COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Worthy, Larkin. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 4:00 P.M. and announced that the Com mission would take a tour of the Cityto observe existing conditions. The tour to include nearly all sections of the City. After completing the tour at 6:15 P.M., the meeting was recessed to reconvene at 15070 Edwards Street at 6:30 P.M. The Chairman announced that April 26 was the 25th anniversary of the first Plan- ning Commission for -the City. A special guest was intro-' duced,being Mr. Ray H. Overacker, who was a member of the first Commission: .The Planning Director briefly outlined some of the activities of the Planning Commission during the early years of its existence. A film, prepared by the National Association of Home Builders, was shown which depicted the history of subdividing and residential devel- opment in recent years. A slide presentation was made, also prepared by the Association, depicting townhouse development throughout the United States. The Planning Director presented a Staff report regarding a petition from the, Huntington East and Glen Mar Homeowners Associations which had requested the Planning Commission to initiate a change of zone from R-2 to R-1 on property at the south- east corner of Yorktown Avenue' and Bushard Street. The Staff report reviewed the past records of zoning on the property. The matter was discussed at length by the Commission. RESOLUTION NO 452 A Resolution of Intent of the City Planning Commission Initiating a Change of Zone on Property at the Southeast corner of Yorktown Avenue and Bushard Street from R-2 to R-1. THE MOTION BY CRABB WAS SECONDED BY LETSON TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NO 4521 A RESOLUTION OF INTENT, INITIATING A CHANGE OF ZONE TO R-1 ON PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF YORKTOWN AVENUE AND BUSHARD STREET AND SETTING THE MATTER FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON MAY 195 1964. 4/28/64 Page #2 Minutes: H.
