DISCUSSION: CODE.-AMENDMENT-N0,"66-14'-- SHORELINE 'DISTRICT ZONE CASE-NOt'66=-36.-, --RESOLUTION:-OF�'INTENT The -Secretary distributed -copies of suggested amexadments.to.Articla:,966 S-1;,Shoreline District. The•Secretary pointed out that this zone is intended:lto.-establish',permitted :uses and- standards for development.of beach -property.. It'was-the consensus that a detailed list of. -.uses -.t6 :be•_permitted-,on: beach property including develop- ment standards for such -.:uses be prepared by ; the Staff and submitted for review by-the•Commission.; 9/27/66. Planning Commission Tuesday, September 27, 1966 DISCUSSION: DEMAND FOR COMMERCIAL SPACE: Commissioner Lawson led a discussion on the amount of land to be devoted to commercial use at highway intersections. DISCUSSION: MASTER PLAN AND ZONING - STUDY AREA I The Secretary distributed copies and made a presentation of the Master Plan and Zoning Study for Area I. He informed the Commission that the suggested zone changes resulted from the recent amendment to the Master Plan of Study Area I. The Commission reviewed the various proposals and it was their consensus to proceed with the suggested zone cb anges within Study Area I. DISCUSSION: MASTER PLAN OF LAND USE Chairman Bazil suggested that the Staff investigate the proposed -land use patterns in the vicinity of the Huntington Beach Freeway. He stated that the precise location of this freeway has not been determined and, therefore, the Master Plan should only reflect the land use as it relates to the City',s arterial highways.
