In the past the Council had discussed the possibility of e Recreation. and Parks Facilities Fund to accommodate the new consolidation of the Recreation and Perks Departments. On motion by Coen, Council directed the City Attorney to prepare en ordinance establishing a Recreation and par", Facilities Lund and to eliminate the current Recration Fund. Motion carried. TRAFFIC -CROSSING GUARD The Director of Public Works informed the Council that since: the opening, of a new school in the Slater -Springdale Free., there is little need for the crossing guard that Council authorized for that Location. He suggested that, in lieu thereof, the crossing guard he authorized for Broo hurst and Indianapolis Streets On motion by Bartlett, Council directed the Director of Public Works to relocate said crossing, guard from the Springdale -Slater area to the intersection of Broo hurst Street and Indianapolis Avenue. Motion carried. `2 JUNIOR CHAMBER OF ._CO'�Mp.CE PARADE The Cat; Administrator informed the Council of authorization 'last year of $800 to the Junior Chamber of Coerce to cover adminis- trative cost in staging the Fourth of July Parade.
