COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Lane PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE AND PLANNING COMMISSION IMAGE The Commission discussed Parliamentary Procedure and the image of the Commission. It was the consensus of the Commission to follow Robert's Rules of Order and to maintain its image. A MOTION WAS MADE BY BY TOM AND SECONDED BY MILLER TO REQUEST THE CITY COUNCIL TO BEGIN IMPROVING THE CITY'S IMAGE BY IMPROVING ITS IMMEDIATE ENVIRON- MENT; NAMELY, THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, AND THAT THIS RECOMMENDATION BE INCLUDED AS A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT IN THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE. ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES: Miller, Worthy, Bazil, Larkin, Royer, Tom. NOES: None ABSENT: Lane THE MOTION CARRIED. STAFF REPORTS"AND AGENDA DATA The Commission discussed the staff reports and agenda data they receive and it was their consensus that they were sufficiently informative and well structured. They also discussed Subdivision Committee Reports and graphics. The Commission felt it was not necessary to receive staff_ reports prior to the meeting since it prevented them from being objective in their analysis. The Commission felt that a vicinity map, similar to what they receive at the meeting, be mailed to them to be used when they go into the field to view the area. SUBDIVISION STANDARDS Considerable discussion was held concerning subdivision standards. It was decided that a tour of subdivisions be made by the Commission in order to observe some of the standards being incorporated into the revised subdivision - ordinance. 12/26/67. Minutes: H.B.
