COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Bazil, Worthy, Larkin, Lane, Royer, Miller.
COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Tom.

by Miller the Minutes of the
Huntington�Beach Planning Commission were accepted as transcribed
and mailed by.the Secretary.
ZONE CASE NO. 67-33 - Continued
RESOLUTION OF INTENT
Change of zone from Ml Light
Industrial District to R-3 Limited
Multiple Family Residence District.
Floyd Belsito, Associate Planner,
addressed the Commission and explained the proposal.

The hearing was opened to the
Mr. Edward Leahy, representing the
Southern Pacific Railroad, addressed the Commission and was
opposed to rezoning the railroad's property.
There being no other comment the
hearing was closed.
The Commission held a lengthy
discussion.
RESOLUTION NO. 67-33 A Resolution of the City Planning
Commission Recommending Approval
of Zone Case No. 67-33.
A MOTION WAS MADE BY ROYER AND
SECONDED BY LARKIN TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 67-33 RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF ZONE CASE NO. 67-33'TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE
FOLLOWING REASONS:
1. Adjacent areas are residentially zoned.
2. An M-1 use is not a proper zone in this area because of
future developments.

the Commission and expressed their opinion: Eugene Mohler, So.
California Electric Sign Assoc., Edward Leahy, So. Pacific Co.,
Bill wood, Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce, Jack Koebig,
Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce Mac Bangoy, 6081 Annette
Circle City, Bob Coogan, 103 Ocean 1venue and Fred Contrel,
Alpha kta Stores.
There being no other comment
the hearing was closed.
A MOTION WAS MADE BY WORTHY AND
SECONDED BY ROYER TO RECOMMEND ADOPTION OF CODE AMENDMENT No.
67-26 - SIGN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
