were accepted as transcribed.
USE PERMIT NO. 69-2
Applicant: Dr. R.F. Beauchamp &
James B. Beauchamp
To permit use of C-4 Highway Commer-
cial District property to build and operate a T J's Mexican
Food and a Topper's Steak House Restaurant. Located north
of Warner Ave., 446 ft. west of Beach Blvd. Legal descrip-
tion on file in the Planning Department Office.
The hearing was opened to the
audience.
Joe Evans, representing the appli-
cant, addressed the Board and answered various questions.
There being no further comment,
the hearing was closed.
Board discussion followed.
A MOTION WAS MADE BY MCFARLAND
AND SECONDED BY SPENCER TO CONTINUE USE PERMIT NO. 69-2
TO FEBRUARY 5, 1969, FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON:
1. To allow time for the applicant to discuss the pro-
posed driveway locations with the Traffic Engineer.

ABSENT: None
THE MOTION CARRIED.
USE PERMIT NO. 69-3
Applicant: Albert Dattels
To permit the construction of a
40 x 60 one-story stucco shell building for the storage
of furniture in conjunction with existing commercial use.
Located on Beach Blvd. approximately 86 ft. south of
Ronald Road. Legal description on file in the Planning
Department Office.
The hearing was opened to the
audience.
There being no one to represent
the applicant, and there being no further comment, the
hearing was closed.
A MOTION WAS MADE BY MCFARLAND AND
SECONDED BY SPENCER TO APPROVE USE PERMIT NO. 69-3 WITH
THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
1. A revised parking plan shall be submitted to the
Board of Zoning Adjustments for approval when
required by the Building Department.
FOR THE REASON:
1. This property is a part of an existing commercial
facility and revision of the existing parking will
disrupt the flow of traffic.

CONDITIONAL EXCEPTION NO. 69-3
Applicant: Donald Steffensen
To permit the 3 ft. roof over-
hang on all detached garages to within 24 inches of the pro-
perty line in lieu of the required 30 inch setback. Located
on the west side of Goldenwest St., north of the corner of
Palm and Goldenwest St. Legal description is on file in the
Planning Department Office.
The hearing was opened to
the audience.
Bill Lusk, representing the
applicant, addressed the Board and answered various questions.
There being no further
comment, the hearing was closed.
A MOTION WAS MADE BY MCFARLAND
AND SECONDED BY HARLOW TO APPROVE CONDITIONAL EXCEPTION NO.69-3
FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
1.. Eave encroachment only occurs on detached garages which
does not come under the requirement for light, air and
ventilation.
2. The garages are not located adjacent to other structures.
