Mayor Green called the regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach to order at 7:30 P.M.
The Pledge of Allegiance was given by all present in the Council Chamber.

RESOLUTION..N0 3050_-...HEALTH INSURANCE PAYMENTS - ADOPTED
The Clerk read Resolution No. 3050 in full - "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO DEPENDENT HEALTH
INSURANCE PAYMENTS BY THE CITY."
On motion by Bartlett, Resolution No. 3050 was passed and adopted by
the following c roll. all vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Shipley, Bartlett, McCracken,FKaufman, Matney,
Coen, Green

ABSENT: Councilmen: None

RECESS-.INFORMAL.SESSION
Mayor Green called a, recess of the Council for an informal meeting as
a, committee=of-the-whole to hear -a, presentation by the Dillingham
Corporation in connection with financing plans for the proposed new
civic center.
Representing the Dillingham Corporation were Mr. Walter Jacobs, and
Mr. Robert Springmeyer of the SUA Division, and Mr. Robert.Volk of the
William -Simpson Construction Company, also a division of Dillingham
Corporation.
Following the presentation by the Dillingham Corporation representa-
tives, a, discussion was held by the Council concerning space studies
for the new library facility as proposed by SUA.
RECONVENED
Mayor Green reconvened the Council meeting at 9:23 P.M.
Council took no action on the proposals discussed during the information
study session, and stated that the matter would be deferred until
members of the staff have had the opportunity to study the SUA final
report on the civic center and police facilities.

SIDEWALKS NEAR ED,ISON HIGH_SCHOOL.- NO ACTION
The City Administrator informed Council that he had been receiving
letters from residents in the vicinity of the new Edison High School
requesting the Council to authorize asphalt sidewalks on various streets
adjacent thereto. Mr. Miller informed the Council that the Public Works
Department had estimated the cost of such a, project at approximately
$5,000 and that these sidewalks, if installed, would be on right-of-way
presently owned by the City. He further informed Council that it would
be a, temporary measure, and they would be removed at such time as prop-
erty adjacent to these streets was improved and additional right-of-way
acquired by the City.
No Council action was taken on this matter.

ADJOURNMENT
On motion by Coen, the regular adjourned meeting of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach adjourned.
