PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
MASTER PLAN REVIEW - Stuft .Area C (that portion of the City
generally located west of Edwards Street, north of Ellis Ave.)
,Jere Murphy, Associate Planner,
made a presentation on -the subject area.
It was noted that this area
would be further discussed at future meetings.
MASTER PLAN STUDY - Vicinity of Warner Avenue and Bolsa Chica
Street
Jere Murphy made a presentation
showing maps of the area. It is assumed that the airport will
be phased out in the near future and the new Master Plan shows
the area in low density, with a portion shown for multiple
family use.
Commissioner Porter asked wheth-
er there was any soil problem in the area.
The freeway was shown in rela-
tion to possible medium density development. Property to the
south of the freeway is broken up into small lots, individual
owners.
Bill Hartge, City Engineer, made
a presentation with relation to the Assessment District in this
area.
It was the consensus of the Com-
mission that this area remain as is shown on the existing _
Master Plan in view of the assessment district.
Study Area "A" - Consensus of
the Commission to leave this parcel west of the Edison steam
plant in the industrial classification.
Study Area "A" - land use clar-
ification for the Edison Company Yard, located south of Gar-
field, east of Beach Boulevard. It was the consensus of the
Commission there should be no change of the Master Plan.
CIVIC DISTRICT CONFIGURATION
A MOTION WAS MADE BY BAZIL AND
SECONDED BY MILLER TO CONTINUE CIVIC DISTRICT CONFIGURATION
STUDY TO THE NEXT STUDY SESSION.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
AYES: Bazil, Higgins, Porter, Miller, Duke
NOES: None
ABSENT: Slates, Kerins

Dick Harlow, Assistant Plan-
ning Director, suggested alternatives for the Civic District: 1)
Rezone any property required for the Civic District area; 2) Set
for public hearing after Master Plan changes are completed.
PARKING STANDARDS - Continued to next meeting.
SERVICE STATIONS
The Staff has requested that
Home C until allow them to use the information the used -to base
their recommendation on and that they will be considering this re-
quest at their next board meeting.
Action was continued until
such time as additional information is supplied.
MISCELLANEOUS:
CONDITIONAL EXCEPTION NO. 70-7
ADDlicant: C. Michael
The block wall around the
mobilehome park was discussed. The Commission felt the existing
wall was below standards but they would approve it.
