CONDITIONAL EXCEPTION NO. 70-33
Applicant: Bill Williams
Review of the operation of the horse stables at
Ernest Avenue with regard to fencing and relocation of the exercise arena.
The Board had met with Mr. Williams on October 22,
1971 at the stables to determine the location of the fencing and its design.
Mr. Williams submitted a plot plan showing the
location of the fencing as discussed by the Board during the field inspection.
The plan provided for fencing around the operation with the exception of the
driveway and adjacent to the riding area to the east. The plan also called
for a gate at the west property line to control access to Goldenwest Street.
It was the consensus of the Board that the fencing
plan as submitted provided adequate control and containment of the horses on
the property; and would prohibit them from trespassing onto neighboring property.
Mr. Williams also presented a letter stating that
the relocation of the arena at this time would be economically unfeasible due
to the need to acquire additional land and remove several trees.
A MOTION WAS MADE BY MCFARLAND AND SECONDED BY
PALIN TO APPROVE THE FENCE PLAN AS SHOWN WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. The driveway entrance shall be reduced to 40 feet in clear width.
2. Fencing on the north side of Ernest Avenue is to continue easterly to the
existing fence.
3. The plan indicates that the subject property will be fenced sufficiently
to contain the animals except at the two driveway locations.
4. The plot plan received October 27, 1971 shall be the approved layout.
