DISCUSSION - Building Elevations - Urbanetics Financial Corp.,
Family Affair Development - Warner and Edwards
It was noted by
the Acting Secretary that a representative for the developer
was present and would like to discuss the project with the
Commission.
Mick Parker, represent-
ing the developer, addressed the Planning Commission. He
stated that the buildings were constructed of metal and
because of this the elevations were changed after approval
by the Commission.
Mr. Parker also
stated the Building Department has stopped all inspections
on the project.
It was noted by the
Acting Secretary that the building elevations were not the
same as had been approved therefore, the Building Department
issued a "stop building order".
Mr. Parker submitted
renderings of the proposed elevations and the elevations
existing in the field.
Daniel McFarland,
Building Department, stated the buildings do not conform to
approved plans, therefore, exterior inspections were stopped
however, work could continue on the interior of the building.
A lengthy discussion
was held with regard to the approved renderings and the
project as it is developing.
Commissioner Slates
felt a Plot Plan Amendment application should be filed, the
staff would submit a report and then the Commission would be
in a position to act on this application.
COMMISSIONER BAZIL: Commissioner Bazil arrived at 2:05 P.M.
and assumed his duties.
It was the consensus
of the Planning Commission that the building should be as
originally approved. A letter from the applicant should be
submitted stating why they cannot comply with the original
elevation if this is to be considered on a new application.
The Plot Plan Amendment may be referred up by the Board of
Zoning Adjustments for the February 29, 1972 Planning Commis-
