The hearing was
opened to the audience.
Mel Kapson,
representing Mercury Savings and Loan Association addressed
the Commission and explained the request.
The Acting Secretary
pointed out that when reviewing the application for Angels,
it was determined by the Board that the main entrance for
Angels and Mercury Savings and Loan should be combined into
one driveway and moved westerly because of the placement of
traffic signals and the medium on Edinger Avenue. Mr. Harlow
pointed out that this also facilitated the movement of on -
site traffic. The primary objective however, was to reduce
the -number of driveways on the south side of Edinger Avenue
to help improve the traffic problems at that location.
Mr. Harlow stated that because of this action, only one drive-
way serves both uses for west bound traffic and the entrance
sign for Mercury Savings and Loan no longer serves the
the function for which it was designated: ---
