TENTATIVE TRACT NO. 7888
Taylor Avenue Right of Way
Mr. Harpold and Mr. Hazeldine, attorney for Mr. Harpole, were
present to discuss dedication of street right of way for
Taylor Avenue, west of Beach Boulevard.
Acting Secretary Jim Palin stated that Final Tract No. 7888
is scheduled for acceptance by the City Council on April 16,
1973. Final Tract No. 7888 abuts Taylor Avenue on the south,
and Mr. Harpold's property abuts Taylor Avenue to the north.
The question of providing access to Mr. Harpold's industrial
property has not been resolved. It was the intent of the
Commission that such access should not be taken from Taylor
Avenue. It has been requested that Mr. Harpold dedicate his
access rights to Taylor Avenue to the City. It had been
proposed that the street right of way for Taylor Avenue be
included within the boundaries of Tract No. 7888. The
final map has not been amended to reflect this.
Mr. Hazeldine addressed the Commission, stating that a deed
has been submitted to the city, but not accepted, dedicating
the street right of way, however, he is not willing to
dedicate access rights.
