HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-06-28MINUTES Huntington Central Library Huntington Beach, California Saturday, June 28, 1980 Mayor Bailey called the adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach to order at 9:00 A.M. ROLL CALL - CITY COUNCIL Present: Finley Bailey, MacAllister, Mandic, Kelly Absent: Pattinson, Thomas ROLL CALL - COMMUNITY SERVICES COWISSION Present: Rivera, Cooper, Mossteller, Jensen, Kennedy, Valentine, Hickey, Osness, Vander Molen Absent: Roop, Costa RESOLUTION NO 4903 - ADOPTED - HOUSING MORTGAGE REVENUE BONDS The Deputy City Clerk presented Resolution No. 4903 for adoption by Council - "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON: BEACH AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF HOUSING MORTGAGE REVENUE BONDS TO BE ISSUED BY THE CITY." On motion by Mandic, second MacAllister, Council adopted Resolution No. 4903 by the following roll call vote: AYES: Finley, Bailey, MacAllister, Mandic, Kelly NOES: None ABSENT: Pattinson, Thomas The Mayor stated that the meeting had been scheduled for the purpose of meeting jointly with the Community Services Commission to tour Central Park and acquaint themselves with the conceptual plan prepared by staff. The Director of Community Services presented the schematic plan for the develop- ment of Huntington Central.park. He stressed that it was not a locked -in, un- changeable plan and that if community needs change, the plan could be modified, He stated that completion of the plan would take approximately ten years. He informed Council that copies of the proposed plan had been distributed to the Council, with additional copies available to others to take along during the tour. He pointed out the locations of the proposed restaurants, recreational vehicle campground, YMCA facility, etc. Mr. Alan Ribera, Landscape Architect, presented a review of the plan stating that the plan had been developed with input from a wide variety of sources. Councilman MacAllister left the meeting. The Council, Commissioners and other interested citizens present then toured the park. 120 Page #2 - Council Minutes - 6/28/80 Following the tour, the adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach adjourned.
